It's Happening.  Again.

WASHINGTON DC - It's Indictment Day again.  Welcome to Part IV of my series following the legal woes of the twice impeached, guilty of rape, 80someodd indictments and counting, former President known as Donald F'n Drumpf.  I'm not even sure this is a series anymore.  It's just that it keeps happening.  And THIS time, the arrest will be in DC.  With a judge who is not friendly to Drumpf at all.  Unlike that judge in Florida who is pretty well planning on delaying the trial indefinitely, likely until the next election at least.  This judge will actually bring this to a trial quickly, with no bullshit delays.  Or so we hope.

I have no optimism left, really.  We've seen this dude squirm out of trouble so many times over the years.  I already pointed out one such incident.  That judge in Florida was just the luckiest break for Drumpf, wasn't it?  I mean, what other judge in the world would be so willing to literally join the defense team?

Anyway...

This time the indictments are related directly to the events of January 6th, 2021.  You remember that one, right?

Everyone knows what happened that day.  I'm not going to relive it here.  But it is astonishing to me how the two sides of this issue speak about it afterward.  One side knows what happened.  The other side thinks that event was nothing but a few people touring the complex.  They say it was peaceful.  They say it their right to peacefully demonstrate. 

They don't talk about the cops that got beaten, and the one that died afterward.  In all, five people died either shortly before, during, or following the event: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, and three died of natural causes. Many people were injured, including 138 police officers. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months.

They don't talk about the damage or the theft.  They don't talk about that asshole with a f'n Confederate flag in the halls!!  Never mind that about 1000 people have been arrested, and many sent to jail for the things they did that day.

As such, it's no surprise that the same group of people are saying now that Drumpf has been indicted for nothing more than "his right to object to election results", or "his first amendment rights".  They are yelling loudly at anyone that will listen that that is "completely absurd!!!"   Well, they are right about one thing.  It would be completely absurd to arrest someone for things that are perfectly legal.  So it really makes anyone with a brain wonder what they hell they are talking about.  Maybe, just maybe, there is more to it.  And there IS.  Those are NOT things for which he has been indicted!

As you can see, that indictment spells out very clearly that Drumpf KNEW he lost the election, and decided to lie about it and steal the election.  He decided to use his followers to help.

It even details, in the very beginning, some of those concerns about his rights to contest the election, and how he exhausted all of those avenues, then enthusiastically lied about it anyway.  My favorite part is where it says that he, "made his knowingly false claims appear legitimate, create an intense national atmosphere of mistrust and anger, and erode public faith in the administration of the election."

To say that is the same as using his first amendment right, is like saying that a "nuclear bomb just inconveniences some atoms."  While technically correct, it leaves out the key parts that make it important.

I used that metaphor once before, but I said, "It's like saying that Ted Kaczynski like to send packages through the mail."  And that seems to fit too.

I only have one more thing to say about this
It is my hope that when they arrest him on August 3rd, 2023, they hold him without bail.  His list of indictments is around 80 now.  Felony indictments.   And about half them are ESPIONAGE!!  For some reason he is still walking around a free man.  Any other human in the universe would have been locked in a tiny cell with no window and held there until trial.  

There is NO reason to give this person all of this polite respect simply because he was President.  In fact, that makes it WORSE!  That is precisely why we should not be treating him with any respect at all.  Because in doing that we are literally allowing the President to break any federal laws they want without fear of accountability. 

And THIS time!  He tried to overthrow the farking government!  He tried to steal an election and install himself as a leader.  He was going to use the military to help him, and only failed there because the Pentagon kept the National Guard away. (Yes, that really happened.  I cannot verify a source because the internet is very conflicted about it.)

The bottom line is, we have an opportunity here to shut this person down once and for all.  We have seen how he treats that overwhelming leeway he's been given.  It's time to revoke it.  It's time to lock him up and shut him up.  Hold him there until the trial.  Find him guilty. Never let him see the light of day again.

That's all I have to say about this in my 4th installment. I'm quite sure there will be more to say.  This silliness is only just the beginning. But I'll get new graphics for the next article.
